ABOUT

KAYLA

I’ve always been attracted to different ways of making my mind and body stronger - thus, my love for movement started at a young age - being a triple sport athlete during the school year and competing in triathlons in the summers brought me joy and kept me challenged.

My enthusiasm and dedication to basketball earned me the opportunity to play for Montana State University and I happily played there for three years (2011-2014 seasons) and at Montana Tech for one year (2014-2015 season). I broke the navicular bone in my right foot while I was at MSU and I have that injury to thank for the path that I’ve walked since - injuries have a way of humbling you.

My experience in the movement industry began over 10 years ago, teaching Pilates throughout Missoula, MT while completing my undergraduate degree in Health and Human Performance at the University of Montana. After welcoming my first daughter in 2018, I moved to Butte and fully launched KaylaJane Pilates (KJP)—hitting the ground running and growing the business from the ground up.

Fast forward to today: my kids and I are back in Missoula, where I teach private clients and group classes at both PEAK Health & Wellness locations (Downtown and the Racquet Club). I also film classes for KaylaJane Pilates On Demand, allowing me to connect with and support clients far beyond the studio.

When I’m not teaching Pilates, I’m spending every minute I can with my two young daughters (Kennedy 7, Lennon 5), working full-time in marketing & communications for an MT nonprofit, getting outside as much as possible - hiking, fishing, biking, etc. Loving on our goldendoodle…Olive, trying out new recipes, and reading.
